Late-night food in Pleiku: where to eat after 10 pm

Where to eat late in Pleiku: the night market until 2 am, Chợ Nhỏ night street until midnight, Cơm Quê until 11 pm, plus night-only noodle and dessert stalls.

By Rechecked

After 10 pm in Pleiku you have three places: the night market until 2 am, Chợ Nhỏ night street until midnight and Cơm Quê until 11 pm. Cơm Niêu Ngon 3 Miền and Anh Chín beef hotpot close at 10 pm. Past midnight, the night market is the only sure bet, and the night-only stalls around the Đinh Tiên Hoàng crossroads are the backup.

Hungry at 10 pm in Pleiku? The restaurants have cleared away and the streets are quiet. Here is the short version: the night market (until 2 am) and Cơm Quê (until 11 pm) are still open, and the Chợ Nhỏ night street runs until midnight. Pleiku is good for a late dinner or a late snack, but it is not a city that stays up all night.

After 10 pm, head straight to the night market

Pleiku Night Market (Chợ Đêm Pleiku), now called Diên Hồng food street, is at 40 Nguyễn Thiện Thuật, Diên Hồng ward, and opens 6 pm to 2 am daily. It was rebuilt on the old night-market site along Nguyễn Thiện Thuật, Hoàng Văn Thụ, Trần Phú and Lê Lai streets. After the upgrade it has a car park, public toilets, lighting and movable canopies.

Bring friends or family: everyone picks their own dish from plenty of stalls at an easy price, and fruit in a bowl is the one people keep recommending. It is busy and very local, more a stroll after dinner than a sit-down meal, and the market is not big.

  • What to order: lụi (grilled pork on lemongrass sticks), cơm hến (baby-clam rice), Mekong-style bún mắm (fermented-fish noodle soup), fruit in a bowl and grilled rice paper (bánh tráng nướng); Sóc Con serves phở khô at the end of an alley inside the market.
  • Price: a snack stall is about 20,000 to 50,000 VND, a phở khô bowl about 30,000 to 50,000 VND, and durian fruit with coconut cream 50,000 VND (prices from September 2026).
  • Where: 40 Nguyễn Thiện Thuật, Diên Hồng ward, near the Tre Xanh hotel.

Tip: the public toilet in the market costs 3,000 VND a person and is clean.

At weekends, on public holidays and at Tết (Vietnamese New Year) the food street adds music, gong performances and xoang dance, so go then if you want a show with your supper.

Món này bao nhiêu tiền? How much is this?
Cho tôi một tô trái cây A bowl of fruit, please
Quán còn mở cửa không? Are you still open?
Cho tôi đặt một bàn cho bốn người A table for four, please
Cho tôi một mẹt heo sọc dưa One mẹt heo sọc dưa tray
Tính tiền nhé The bill, please

At a market stall, point at the dish and use the first line; at a restaurant, the table line works over the phone too.

Late, but you want a proper sit-down meal

Want a chair and a real meal rather than a snack? We recommend Cơm Quê if you need to sit until 11 pm, or Cơm Niêu Ngon 3 Miền if you are a bigger group and arrive before 10 pm.

Cơm Quê (Gia Lai country-style rice restaurant) is a good late dinner for a small group or a family: spacious, nicely decorated, open until 11 pm. The food leans gentle and safe, so it may taste mild if you like strong flavours.

  • What to order: cơm niêu (rice cooked in a clay pot), the dish praised most. Portions are generous: four rice dishes for two people is already very full.
  • Price: fair for the portions.
  • Where: 26 Tân Tiến, Diên Hồng ward. Open 8 am to 11 pm daily. Call +84 905 060 881 to book a table.

A bigger group settling in for a long, relaxed meal will like it here: the room is pretty, the food is easy on the palate, the staff are warm, and tables are cleared quickly even when it is full. At the peak hour dishes come slowly, so do not come in a hurry.

  • What to order: the mẹt heo sọc dưa (a tray of five pork dishes; the fifth line of the card above) sells best, and a group of five or six is full with one tray. Crispy roast pork is the dish people mention most, with tender meat and very crisp skin; there is also steamed fresh goat and rich cheese seafood. Skip the braised stream fish, which is bony with little meat.
  • Price: big portions, cheap for the amount.
  • Where: 158 Hai Bà Trưng, Diên Hồng ward, open 9 am to 10 pm daily. It is right in the centre, easy to reach. Call +84 269 3828 811 to book.

Tip: Cơm Niêu is on Hai Bà Trưng street, which turns into the sweet-drinks street after dark, so look for a glass of nước đậu (soy milk) nearby after you eat.

If your group wants grilled food and hotpot late, Anh Chín on Hùng Vương street is an easy choice, open 3 pm to 10 pm daily. It fills up in the evening, so go early, and earlier still for the steamed brain. The crispy grilled tongue is praised, and so is the beef hotpot in a sweet broth of ginseng and mushrooms; the owner suggests ordering just enough.

On price, a guest in April 2026 paid about 110,000 VND for a hotpot for two, filling but light on greens. Grilled, steamed and stir-fried dishes run about 80,000 to 90,000 VND and a hotpot for two or three about 120,000 VND (December 2025); treat these as a rough guide and confirm when you order. Motorbikes park in front and are watched by the staff, cars park along the street, and the tables and stools are low with no backrests, so a long sit gets tiring. It has closed by 10 pm, so it is no use for a later supper.

Night-only stalls near the Đinh Tiên Hoàng crossroads

Beyond the restaurants, eating late in Pleiku means a few long-standing stalls, and night eating has long been part of daily life here. Hai Bà Trưng street is the sweet-drinks street at night, while the Đinh Tiên Hoàng and Phan Đình Phùng crossroads is where young locals now eat late. On the corner of Đinh Tiên Hoàng and Tăng Bạt Hổ, a grapefruit-dessert stall more than 30 years old sells only at night.

Near the Đinh Tiên Hoàng and Hai Bà Trưng crossroads is Kế Đô wonton noodle shop, which has sold at night for almost half a century. It sells only wonton noodles, in broth or dry, with offal stew if you ask, and it still makes its noodles fresh.

Chợ Nhỏ night street: open until midnight

Chợ Nhỏ (“Small Market”) night street in Pleiku ward is open daily from 6 pm to midnight. The stalls run along the Hội Phú stream, and the car park is on Anh Hùng Núp street, next to Great Unity Square (Đại Đoàn Kết). Walk one loop and pick a busy stall; the street is new, so there is no famous name to look for yet.

Our pick: for a seat with cocktails and live music before supper, stop by Pleiku Balcony on Bùi Đình Túy street: Brad, the Australian owner, mixes the drinks himself, and there is craft beer and Western food.
