Water prices in Pleiku: rates, fees and sign-up

Your water bill is priced per cubic metre (m³), and the rate depends on how much you use, which of two water plants serves your street, and what the water is for. A small home (under 10 m³ a month) pays 8,120 VND per m³ from the Biển Hồ plant or 6,300 VND per m³ from the Ia Rbol plant, under the rates in force from 1 June 2026. Below you get the full price list, the sewage fee on the bill, how to sign up and how to pay. The prices are those of Gia Lai Water Supply and Sewerage Joint Stock Company; if your bill comes from another company, they do not apply. The price list

The province’s People’s Committee approved the company’s new water prices on 31 May 2026. They replace the earlier urban household price list for Pleiku. There are two columns, one per plant, and VAT is not included.

The list follows the plant, not the ward, so to find out which column your home falls in, quote the customer code on your bill to the water company (phone number below). Households classed as poor pay nothing while using under 10 m³ a month. If that is you, take the original poor-household book to the company’s office to claim the discount and re-sign the service contract; the sign-up deadline was before 1 July 2026, so phone the company to ask how it works now.

Two start dates

You will see two dates. The province’s decision applies the prices from 1 June 2026, while the company applies them from the billing period starting 1 July 2026 in the Pleiku and Ayun Pa area. On top of the price, VAT and, where it applies, an environmental protection fee are added.

The sewage fee

Household sewage is charged at 10% of the price of 1 m³ of clean water, VAT excluded, under rules in force from 1 January 2026. It is collected by the water company, so it comes on your water bill. At 8,120 VND per m³, that is 812 VND on each cubic metre. The provincial council can set a higher rate for particular groups, so check your bill or ask the company for the rate you actually pay. Household sewage is free in especially disadvantaged areas and in areas with no clean-water supply.

Getting connected

When you move into Pleiku or a new house, start with the water registration form, which you fill in online. It has five fields: full name, house number and street, phone, how much you need (m³ or number of people) and what you will use it for. The form gives no number of days for processing, only that it is received and handled quickly.

The general rules are national. You sign a water-supply service contract with the company, a legal document that covers each side’s rights and duties, the price, how and when you pay, and how the contract can end. A customer inside the company’s service area can connect to its network. The company builds everything up to the connection point, including the meter; if the meter sits beyond that point, you pay for materials and fitting from the connection point to the meter, agreed beforehand with the company. You and the company agree where the meter goes, and you may only fit equipment after the connection point and after the meter.

While a complaint is pending you still pay the bill, and the company may not cut your water. If you will be away for a long time, you can ask the company to pause the service for a reasonable reason such as being away.

Paying and checking your bill

There are three ways to pay. The first is automatic bank debit: the bank takes the money from your registered account each month, and the company is linked with 6 banks. You register at the company office, at a connected bank or in your banking app. The second is paying in a banking app or e-wallet, and the third is paying at the counter of a collection point.
