Dentists in Pleiku: prices, clinics and insurance

If your face is swelling fast, you struggle to breathe or swallow, or bleeding will not stop after an extraction, do not wait for an appointment. Call 115 or go to an emergency room. Everything below is for routine visits, and the dentist decides your treatment.

For routine work, the short version is this. Anh Dũng and Happy Smile put their price lists on their own websites, so you can compare them before you go. Vạn Mỹ does not, so you phone and ask item by item. A scale and polish (cleaning) costs about 100,000 VND at Happy Smile and 200,000–500,000 VND at Anh Dũng (price lists checked 25 October 2026). Health insurance (BHYT, the Vietnamese state scheme) will not cover false teeth or cosmetic work, so plan to pay for those yourself.

Prices side by side

The table shows each clinic’s own published list, checked on 25 October 2026. Do not compare the raw numbers too hard, because the two price things differently. Anh Dũng’s implant price includes the abutment (the connector between implant and crown), while Happy Smile prices the implant post alone, without the crown. Happy Smile also notes that its list is a guide, and the real cost depends on your teeth.

Small jobs such as cleaning, fillings and ordinary extractions differ by a few hundred thousand dong, so choose by location and opening hours. Big jobs such as implants, braces and crowns differ by millions and depend on the material, so ask for the material name and the warranty in writing before you agree.

Tip: ask whether the X-ray is in the price. Happy Smile’s extraction price includes it. At Anh Dũng, the 3D scanner is free for diagnosis, but they do not export files or print films.

Three dental clinics, by what you need

For a clinic that does everything from cleaning to implants and has been around a long time, go to Anh Dũng. To ask early about braces for your child, go to Vạn Mỹ. For a public price list split by material, with instalments, go to Happy Smile. All three are in Pleiku.

Anh Dung Dental Clinic

• What they do: implants, braces, cosmetic crowns, impacted wisdom teeth and pulp regeneration. The clinic has more than 40 years of experience from Dr Anh Dũng and his master’s-level dentists.
• Children: milk-tooth extraction with numbing gel 50,000 VND, with injection 200,000 VND. Growth-guiding braces for children under 10 are 5,000,000–20,000,000 VND for both jaws (price list checked 25 October 2026).

Good if you want a check-up and several treatments under one roof, with diagnosis on a free 3D scanner. It will not hand you scan files or printed films, though.

Van My Dental Clinic

• What they do: general and specialist dental care, children’s dentistry and cosmetic dentistry. The clinic has a digital 3D X-ray, a piezotome, an iTero 5D scanner and implant equipment.
• Where: 117 Phan Đình Phùng, Pleiku.
• Phone: (0269) 3871001 or (0269) 3871002. There is no price list online, so phone and ask item by item.

Parents of older children will like it: Dr Lam recommends regular check-ups, because early orthodontics costs less than treatment later in life. You can also ask to see similar cases the clinic has treated. On a Monday, book one of the others.

Happy Smile Dental Clinic

• What they do: cleaning, fillings, extractions, braces, crowns and implants, with prices split by material grade.
• Also: filling 100,000 VND per tooth (price list checked 25 October 2026). Instalments at 0% interest are arranged at the clinic.
• Where: 197 Nguyễn Tất Thành, Pleiku.

Pick it if you want every crown type and implant brand priced upfront: titanium crown 1.3 million VND, Zirconia 3.5 million VND, warranty 4–10 years. Ask the clinic for a final number, because the list is only a guide.

What health insurance does not cover

The common trap is to assume that an insurance card means subsidised dental work. Under the health insurance rules, these are not covered:

Replacement medical items including artificial limbs, artificial eyes, false teeth, glasses, hearing aids.

Cosmetic services.

In short, false teeth and cosmetic work are on you. For a public price to compare against, Gia Lai General Hospital publishes a hospital fee list with separate lines for cleaning both jaws, cleaning one area or jaw, milk-tooth extraction and loose permanent-tooth extraction. Before you sit in the chair

The hard part of dental care is finding a clinic that states its prices and warranty. We recommend four questions, in this order. First, is the X-ray included? Happy Smile’s extraction price includes it. Second, is anything left out of the package? Happy Smile’s implant price does not include the crown. Third, how long is the warranty against chipping? Anh Dũng’s Zirconia has 3 years, Happy Smile’s Zirconia 2000MPa has 10 years. Fourth, can you see similar treated cases? Vạn Mỹ allows it.
