When the power goes out in the middle of dinner, you want to know one thing fast: is your street on the schedule, or is it a fault? If it is a fault, call 1558 now and read the rest later. A planned cut you can look up in advance. The website and the app are in Vietnamese, so let your phone translate the page. Contracts and tariffs are in electricity prices in Pleiku, and other settling-in papers are in the Procedures section.

Where to see the power cut schedule

Gia Lai Power Company posts planned cuts week by week on pcgialai.cpc.vn. From the home page, open the menu item for power cut notices; older weeks stay on the site. The easiest habit is to open the Gia Lai Power Company notice page at the start of the week and look for your ward or street.

To search by area, use the EVNCPC outage lookup. You filter by company, power office, status and dates, and the results list the start and end time, reason and status. We recommend filtering for the coming days, not just today, so you have time to charge your devices and move dinner.

Checking the schedule in the EVN CSKH app and other channels

The easiest way is to let the app warn you. Before a repair cut, the EVN CSKH app sends an advance notice so you can plan your day. It is free on Google Play and the App Store, and you enter the customer code printed on your bill. It has been the single nationwide app since 15 June 2026, with iOS and Android versions.

You can also use the phone. On the EVNCPC line 19001909, press 2 for electricity use information, then 3 for the outage schedule. A schedule on social media or on a site the power company does not run should be checked against the two pages above. To talk to the company in person, go to its Pleiku office at 66 Hùng Vương.

Local tip: useful phrases for the phone or the counter: “Lịch cắt điện” (power cut schedule), “Mất điện” (the power is out), “Báo mất điện” (report an outage).

How much notice the power company must give

For planned cuts for repairs and maintenance, the company must warn you at least five days ahead, a rule in force since 1 February 2025. The only exceptions are a fault or force majeure. A household gets the notice on three consecutive days through the media or whatever channel the contract names, and a proper notice states the place, the reason, the start time and the expected time the power returns.

Situation What the power company must do
Planned cut (repairs, maintenance) Warn at least five days ahead
Cut does not happen as announced Tell you at least 24 hours before the announced time
Power returns an hour or more late Announce the new time
Cut because of a fault or force majeure Announce within 24 hours of the cut
You ask to change the announced time Talk to the seller at least 48 hours before

The company must cut exactly as announced and restore power on time. Households are not promised a phone call, so if the power is late, check the lookup page instead of waiting.

A sudden outage: why there was no notice

A cut without notice is allowed only for a fault or force majeure. There are four cases: a fault on the line feeding you or in a part of the system the company cannot control, a serious safety risk to people or equipment, a power shortage that threatens the balance of the grid, and force majeure.

After the cut, the company must find the cause, the area affected and the expected restoration time, announce them within 24 hours and restore power as fast as it can. So when the lights go out unannounced, do not wait for a notice: report it. The EVNCPC lookup page has a report section for customers outside the announced area, and the fault report page lets you pick the nearest pole to continue.

One more kind of cut: unpaid bills. After two reminders at least three days apart, the company may cut the power, on a date set in your contract within 10 days of the first notice, with at least 24 hours’ warning.

Who to call for a sudden outage

Since 15 August 2026 the whole power sector has used one customer hotline, 1558, launched nationwide by EVN and its power corporations. It answers 24 hours a day, holidays and Tet included. Call it when the power is out, or when you see a broken wire or a leaning pole. Save it in your phone today; at midnight in a blackout you will not want to dig through your bill.

1558 does not handle text messages, and the older customer numbers of the corporations still work alongside it. The greeting lets you pick a power corporation, and key 2 connects you to the Central Vietnam Power Corporation. Its older number is 19001909, with email cskh@cpc.vn and website cskh.cpc.vn; on 19001909, press 1 to report an outage or an electrical safety problem. The lookup page also lists 24/7 online support through 1558 and 1900 1909.

One warning from the power sector: if someone calls or messages claiming to be from the power company and asks you to transfer money or install unknown software, do not do it, and download the EVN CSKH app only from Google Play or the App Store. To check, call 1558 yourself rather than tapping an unknown number or link.
